School District releases free and reduced-price meals policy

Grand Prairie Independent School District announced its policy today for providing free and reduced-price meals for children served under the attached current income eligibility guidelines. Each school/site or the central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by anyone on request.

School Board appoints independent council to investigate purchase and renovation of property

At Thursday’s Grand Prairie ISD School Board meeting, School Board President Steve Pryor announced the appointment of an independent attorney to investigate the district’s purchase and renovation of property located at 4750 South Carrier Parkway.

The Arts Schools Network Board of Directors has designated in Garner Fine Arts Academy as a 2017-2019 Exemplary School in recognition of its commitment to excellence.

Dragon Boat Festival returns for fourth year on June 10 at Joe Pool Lake

The Grand Prairie Dragon Boat Festival, sponsored by the Grand Prairie ISD Career and Technical Education Board in cooperation with the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds from the event benefit the Grand Prairie ISD Career Technical Education Scholarship fund, which offers support for books, tuition and other fees for GPISD students who participate in CTE classes in high school and go on to attend college or trade school.
