Calvin Brundrett, owner of Bon Air in Grand Prairie, presented a $3,500 check to the Grand Police Department Friday to purchase improved body armor for the department’s patrol canines.

Ribbon cutting opens renovated Action Park

At a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday night, members of the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce and city officials opened the recently renovated and improved Action Park, formerly Alliance Skate Park at Lone Star Park.

West Nile Virus mosquito sample reported – Grand Prairie to ground spray August 16-17

The City of Grand Prairie reports one West Nile Virus positive mosquito sample and will ground spray for two nights on Wednesday, Aug. 16, and Thursday, Aug. 17, depending on weather conditions, starting at 9 p.m. The spray area is bound by Dickey Road on the north, SW 3rd Street on the east, Freetown Road on the south, and Robinson Road on the west.
