City Council approves plans to develop along SH 161

At Tuesday night’s City Council meeting, council members unanimously approved concept plans to develop two parcels of land along SH 161.

One of the sections is a ten acre site located in the southeast corner of SH 161 and Arkansas, across Arkansas from the under construction Walmart.

Study rates Grand Prairie number three best city in U. S. to sell a house

A recently released list of “The Best Cities to Sell a House,” SmartAsset rated Grand Prairie the number three market in the U. S.

SmartAsset, a firm that uses technology to provide simple, easy to understand answers to complex financial questions, said in order to rank the best places to sell a house, it looked at data on 161 cities with populations greater than 150,000 considering the following five factors:.

A sold out crowd of more than 450 people packed the Ruthe Jackson Center Thursday night for the annual State of the City address hosted by the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce.

Mayor Jensen highlighted the many accomplishments this past year and gave a glimpse of what residents could see in the future.
