IKEA announces plans to install solar atop future Grand Prairie store

IKEA, the world’s leading home furnishings retailer, today announced plans to install solar atop its future Grand Prairie, TX store opening Fall 2017 as the company’s second Dallas-Fort Worth-area store. Panel installation will begin this summer, with completion expected in early Fall for what will be the fourth IKEA solar array in the State of Texas.

On Saturday, April 1, more than a hundred people came to Loyd Park at Joe Pool Lake to help celebrate MetroTex Association of Realtors’®, the fourth largest realtor association in the U.S., 100th anniversary of helping people find homes across North Texas, with a tree planting ceremony and community tree giveaway.

City Council approves plans to develop along SH 161

At Tuesday night’s City Council meeting, council members unanimously approved concept plans to develop two parcels of land along SH 161.

One of the sections is a ten acre site located in the southeast corner of SH 161 and Arkansas, across Arkansas from the under construction Walmart.
