Skymates Flight Academy signs agreement with Envoy Air to train pilots at Grand Prairie Airport

Skymates Flight Academy, a new Grand Prairie Municipal Airport tenant, signed an agreement with Envoy Air on Friday to train pilots for Envoy, which operates as American Eagle, a regional carrier of American Airlines.

Enovy Air is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group, Envoy is the largest regional airline provider for American, the world’s largest airline.

Dignitaries at the event included Envoy Director of Flight Line Operations, Robert Neider, Director of Envoy Pilot Recruitment, Natalie Nielson and City of Grand Prairie Mayor Ron Jensen.

Guests were able to tour an American Eagle E-175 aircraft that landed at the airport.
