Grand Prairie Hight School assistant principal nominated for Sterling Shining Star Award


Brenda Fox, Assistant Principal of Grand Prairie High School, has been nominated as a 2017-2018 Sterling Shining Star Award Nominee. The Sterling Shining Star Award is an annual program that recognizes and rewards school district employees that go above and beyond to support children in our schools.

The Sterling Shining Star Award Winner is awarded a cash prize of $10,000 to be shared equally between the Shining Star and his or her school. At the close of the nomination process, a selection committee will review the nominations and select the Sterling Shining Star Award winners. Nominations close March 1, 2018.

The Sterling Shining Star Award is an annual program that recognizes and rewards school district employees. Nominees must be full-time educators, teachers, administrators or any member of a school’s staff who makes a positive difference in the lives of students. The Sterling Shining Star Award will be awarded without regard to race, gender, religion, age, national origin, sexual orientation or disability.

Anyone over the age of 18 can nominate up to three educators per academic year for Sterling Shining Star. Administrators are encouraged to nominate as well.
