Free Water Smart Funnel

F.O.G.’s are building up in our pipes and are clogging up Grand Prairie’s sanitary sewer system. It’s not that hazy mist that complicates your sight while driving, but fats, oils and grease that clog up your kitchen sinks, creating chunky F.O.G. monsters.

To help the City of Grand Prairie avoid these issues, the Public Works department will be giving away free funnels, to make pouring used grease into non-leaking containers easier. Just pour, save the containers in your fridge and sign up for the next Household Hazardous Waste collection day to properly dispose of the gunky grease.

Free funnels can be picked up at the following locations (while supplies last):
• City Hall Main Lobby, 317 College St.
• Water Billing, 317 College St.
• The Summit, 2975 Esplanade
• Grand Prairie Development Center, 206 W. Church St.
• Grand Prairie Public Safety Building, 1525 Arkansas Ln.
• Prairie Paws Adoption Center, 2222 W. Warrior Trl.
• Betty Warmack Library, 760 Bardin Rd.
• Main Library, 901 Conover Dr.
• Shotwell Rec. Center, 2750 Graham St.
