Holiday events at the Grand Prairie Libraries

The Grand Prairie Libraries offer many special holiday events in December. Some require registration. Supplies and space may be limited.

Snow Ho Ho
Join us at each of our libraries for Snow Ho Ho 2017! Do fun crafts, watch holiday performances and ride the Polar Express Mini Train (weather permitting). Each library will offer different activities. Supplies and space may be limited.
• Warmack Library: Saturday, Dec. 2 from 1-2:30 p.m.
• Shotwell Library: Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 4-6 p.m. (Although the Library is closed for remodeling, we’ll use a program room)
• Main Library: Monday, Dec. 18 from 2-4 p.m.

Throwback Thursday: Classic Movies
Join us at the Main Library at 11 a.m. on December 7. Our feature presentation is It’s a Wonderful Life, starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. Rated PG, 2 hr. 10 min.

Gingerbread House “Make and Take” Family Workshop
At the Warmack Library on Thursday, Dec. 7.
Two sessions available:
• Session I: 4:30-5:30 p.m.
• Session II: 6-7 p.m.
Join us to make and decorate a gingerbread house with your family. One gingerbread house per family. Fun for all ages! This program is free, but registration is required. To register, call 972-237-5798 or email Linda Laib at LLaib@gptx.org.

Late Night at the Library meets after hours on the first Friday of the month at the Main Library. On December 8, we meet at 7 p.m. for Craft and Wine. Relax with some wine and make a floral Christmas wreath from fresh flowers . Hosted by Celebrate Dallas. Registration required to Kristi at kolabode@gptx.org. 21+ only. There is a $5 charge per person.
