The group, celebrating their emerald anniversary, began singing on under streets lights of Brooklyn in 1962.

From their humble beginning, the Persuasions’ earthy gospel-infused voices have soared through the echo chambers of New York City Subways to the dizzying heights of the Carnegie Hall stage in Manhattan.

They have recorded with the likes of Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, folk great Joni Mitchell to rock’s legendary Jerry Garcia, The Grateful Dead, and now even The Barenaked Ladies, with their latest album “Ladies and Gentlemen: Barenaked Ladies and The Persuasions” released on April 14, 2017.
