Summer events at the Farmers Market

Grand Prairie Farmers Market kicks off summer with a series of fun activities and events that are sure to be a delight for the whole family.

Saturday, May 20
Enjoy spring fun at the Farmers Market with food, produce, plants, and artisan crafts for sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. You will not want to miss, all the way from Denton Texas, Plato’s Theory on stage from 10 a.m. to noon. This incredible string trio will absolutely make you say wow! Come out and give them a warm welcome for their first visit to the GPFM stage.

Saturday, May 27
Come out and enjoy a grand start to the Memorial Day weekend with $1 hotdogs and $1 lemonade all day at the Texas Chef Food Service booth. Jacob’s Fire will perform on the main stage from 10 a.m. to noon.

Saturday, June 3
Crawfish Boil Day is one of the year’s biggest events at the Farmers Market and will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The annual Crawfish Boil features freshly boiled crawfish accompanied by potatoes and corn that is prepared by Dustin Clement’s Head or Tails Cajun Crawfish and will be sold for $10 a pound. A water and soda garden will be present, along with live music, gift market, arts and crafts, and games.

Saturday, June 10
The 2nd Annual Meet the Authors Day will take place from 9 a.m. to noon. Local authors and publishers will be available for meet and greets, photo opportunities and book signings. This is a wonderful chance to get to meet some of your favorite local authors and maybe find a couple of new favorites as well! Duo Espresso, a GPFM favorite, will perform on the main stage starting at 10 a.m.

The Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through December 16 and features locally grown fruits and vegetables, meats, honeys, pastries, desserts, pastas, spices, chips, salsas, candles, soaps and more every week.
