The City of Grand Prairie Parks, Arts and Recreation Department is hosting the 6th Annual Main Street Fest April 21-23. Main Street Fest is a free, family-friendly outdoor event held in the heart of Grand Prairie’s downtown district in and around the 200 block of West Main Street.
The festival will celebrate the fun, festive, family atmosphere of Grand Prairie with live music featuring Texas country singer-songwriter Pat Green, with additional performances from Reckless Kelly, Clay Thrash, Kasey Clay, Jolie Holliday with Sonny Burgess, The Inspiration Band, Monica Saldivar and Grand Prairie’s very own Tejas Brothers and Monica Saldivar, who are both set to open for the four-time Grammy Award winning super group, La Mafia.
While at the festival, visitors will enjoy a variety of spectacular novelty performances, carnival rides, an arts and crafts area, business expo vendors, three entertainment stages, food and beer gardens, an Earth Day inspired KIDZONE hosted by the U.S. Army Reserves and so much more!
Last year’s Main Street Fest, attracted over 20,000 visitors. It earned 10 awards from the Texas Festivals and Events Association and the Texas Recreation and Park Society, as well as a “Best Festival (Runner-Up) in North Texas” from Dallas A-List Magazine. This year the festival is projected to bring an attendance of 26,000 visitors into downtown Grand Prairie.
The improved access to the event with the opening of Main Street in the heart of Grand Prairie will make traveling to the festival and leaving after the event much easier and quicker for all.
