Man in serious condition after shooting

Grand Prairie police have few details in a shooting that occurred Tuesday morning near SW 2nd and West Jefferson.

Detective Mark Beseda said a male, late teens to early twenties, entered the Taco Hut, 201 W. Jefferson, around 7 am and reported he had been shot.

A Fire Department ambulance transported the victim to Methodist Dallas Medical Center in serious condition.

Detective Beseda said it is early in the investigation. Police do not have details on the exact location of the shooting or the circumstances.

Police did not release the identity of the victim.

Update: Detective Beseda said the victim is not seriously injured and will be released from the hospital today. Victim reports he was walking when he was struck by a bullet. Police are continuing to investigate.
