IKEA to install 3 electric vehicle charging stations at future Grand Prairie store opening Fall 2017

IKEA, the world’s leading home furnishings retailer, today announced plans to install three Blink® electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at its future Grand Prairie, TX store opening Fall 2017 as second DFW-area IKEA store. This initiative reflects the continued partnership between IKEA and Car Charging Group, Inc. (OTC: CCGI), the owner of the Blink Network and Blink EV charging stations, and the largest owner/operator of EV charging services with thousands of public EV charging stations in 36 states and two countries. There currently are EV charging units at 29 U.S. IKEA stores.

Police Chief Steve Dye finalist for Dallas Police Chief

Dallas City Manager T.C. Broadnax announced today that Grand Prairie Police Chief Steve Dye is among eight candidates who will be interviewed for the new Police Chief of Dallas.

Over a three-day period in July, the City Manager has assembled five panels comprised of various community stakeholders and partners, who will participate in the interview process. Here is the timeline for that process:
