Christmas ornament celebrates holiday cheer

The annual custom-designed 2017 city of Grand Prairie holiday ornament is a tabletop tableau and handmade by Rebecca Jensen, wife of Mayor Ron Jensen. Using natural materials from their Grand Prairie property and recycled books, Mrs. Jensen assembled, painted, adorned, glittered and decorated each for the holidays. A variety of designs are available for 2017, but featured is a red glitter fire house honoring the Grand Prairie Fire Department’s 100th anniversary in 2017.
